Bought a 4 pack or cans (or shale call them half size cans).

Nice brown head to this dark beer. Smell is very metallic heavy with a sweet roasty note as well.

Taste is medium thick with a mild sweetness hint of smokey campfire and that awful can flavor on the finish.

I really thought this beer was bad. That metal smell and flavor is hard to get passed. Maybe if there was less surface area of can to liquid ratio it would not taste like metal. and at $5 a 8oz can, way over priced.

Picked up a 4 pack at the outstanding new brewery Fifth Hammer. I’m loving the 8oz can format. Very accessible for a high ABV beer.
Pours a very dark brown; black looking in the glass with hints of ruby. Moderate tan head, decent retention fir the style, and a thin ring of lacing throughout.
Wonderful complex and sumptuous aroma. The rich malt bill emits nutty and biscuity tones. In addition, there is dark chocolate, salted caramel, a touch of alcohol, and a dark fruity marmalade like aroma.
Rich and smooth taste with a sticky sweetness that is balanced by lightly roasted malts. Full bodied with a gentle carbonation, almost viscous yet drinks easily. The alcohol is well hidden. Flavors of dark chocolate, salted caramel, dark malts, prunes, blackberry jam, bourbon and brown sugar. Although a sweet overall, there is a nice coffee roast in the finish.
Wonderful imperial porter that is dangerously drinkable. Another great one from Fifth Hammer!!
