On tap at Fifth Hammer, Queens, NY.
Pours a hazy straw orange color with a moderate head that soon dissipates. It leaves a bit of lacing.
The aroma highlights the fruity hops. Pineapple, mango, orange and citrus represent a good combination of tropical and citrus. A light earthy hops aroma also develops later on.
First impressions of the taste are fruity and tangy. Flavors of pineapple soaked in a light alcohol spice and citrus pulp playing against a bed of sweet and toasty malts. Unlike some other overly sweet NEIPAs, this one has an earthy bitterness developing in the middle palate.
Medium bodied, moderate to gentle carbonation, smooth and slightly frothy. It has a silky grain and citrus finish that leaves a mildly sticky and resiny linger.
A nice NEIPA that has some bitterness.
