On tap at Fifth Hammer, Queens, NY
Pours a hazy golden color, moderate head, decent retention.
Aromas of citrus, pineapple and mango . Faint aroma of toasted bread and herbal hops.
There is something clean about the taste, especially at the beginning. However, further into the drink, subtle flavors of citrus, pineapple and mango play off against a clean bready malt backbone that also yields some sweetness towards the end.
It is on the light side of medium bodied and a bit thin for my taste. However, it feels sessionable. The carbonation is relatively gentle. The palate is fairly clean with a modest bitterness and gentle hops flavors.
Overall, this is a decent session type IPA that could perhaps use a bit more body.
