Somewhere between a pale ale and an IPA lies the hazy pale ale. Hop burst with Mosaic, Motu blend, Ekuanot and Amarillo and dry-hopped with Ekuanot and Motu blend, this hazy is bursting with honeydew, berries, lime, pear juiciness.

On tap at Fifth Hammer, NYC.
Pours a hazy, not quite turbid, bright golden yellow color. A neat layer of white creamy froth adorns the surface.
The nose is sweet with notes of candied fruit. Aromas of orange, mango, papaya, passion fruit, melon, and berries. Zesty and with a light developing herbal dank.
Juicy and fruity hops flavors. Notes of citrus and tropical fruit. Flavors are sweet overall with little bitterness. Notes of grapefruit pulp, orange zest, melon, berries, pear and lime. A piny and moderately spicy middle palate balances things out nicely. A dry cracker malt backbone is hinted at.
Medium bodied, moderately carbonated and slightly crisp. The finish is dry with a refreshing juicy linger.
A delightful pale ale/ipa brew that is juicy and hops forward.

S: Moderate aromas of sage are present in the nose along with notes of honeydew melon.
T: The taste follows the smell, but has strong flavors of honeydew melon with notes of sage and hints of pears and berries.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and juicy on the palate and has a moderate amount fo carbonation.
O: This beer is quite flavorful for the style and has interesting aromas of sage.

A: Pours a hazy medium yellow in color with just shy of moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising alomg the edges of the glass and faint bright yellow + straw yellow + pale golden yellow colored highlights. The ber has a finger tall foamy white head that reduces to a large patch of thin film covering approximately 90% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of tropical/honeydew melon, citrus/lime, tropical/pear, berry, and herbal/sage hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + caramel malts with light amounts of caramel sweetness.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + caramel malts with light amounts of caramel sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of tropical/honeydew melon, citrus/lime, tropical/pear, berry, and herbal/sage hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away leaving light lingering sage + honeydew hop flavors.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp upfront with a hint of soft/fluffiness in the mid-body.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable and interesting with the sage flavors and aromas.
