Spanish Cake IPA born out of a collaboration with women of color who work in NYC beer. It's a lactose IPA with TONS of fresh guava & pineapple and vanilla! Super juicy, totally tropical, sweet sweet nectar.

On tap at Fifth Hammer, NYC.
Pours a hazy/turbid yellow color with a moderate creamy head.
The aroma evokes tropical fruit, pineapple and guava, along with lactose and vanilla.
The first few sips reveal a tropical sweetness even more pronounced than the aroma. Flavors of pineapple, guava, banana, coconut, lactose and vanilla evoke more tropical fruit/daiquiri/piƱa colada type drink than beer. Thankfully, a mild bitterness and hops spice develops, balancing things out nicely and magically rendering beer like qualities.
Medium bodied, juicy, creamy and smooth. The carbonation is gentle and the finish is semi dry.
A tasty NEIPA with nice adjunct flavorings.
