Pours a hazy murky beige and orange color. A large and rapidly rising foam head dissipates just as quickly.
The nose opens with sweet and tangy citrus aromas. Notes of orange, tangerine and grapefruit. I also detect subtle aromas of stone fruit and pineapple.
The taste follows the nose with a strong burst of zesty citrus over a dry and clean dry cracker malt base. The citrus evokes unripe orange, grapefruit, even a hint of lime, that provide more of a tartness rather than sweetness. This is complimented by a touch of pine, and a strong dose of spicy and peppery hops that sting the throat going down.
Medium bodied, smoothly crisp and with a relatively gentle to moderate carbonation. The finish is dry with a zesty and peppery sting.
Supremely drinkable IPA. Although I shared the 32oz crowler with family, I could have easily finished it off alone in no time. Well done.
