On tap at Fifth Hammer, NYC.
Pours a bright and brassy golden color. A big frothy head retains well and displays lacing.
Aromas of Pilsner malt, bready and with a honey sweetness hit the nose. Notes of esters, particularly pear, citrus pith and melon add a fruity scent, along with hoppy aromas of grass.
The palate is fruity but dry with estery notes of melon, pear, dry peach and citrus fruit. There is an effective and balancing touch of grassy and earthy hops bitterness, along with a touch of peppery phenols. The candi sugar adds sweetness along with lightening the body.
Medium bodied, smooth and moderately carbonated. The finish is very dry and with a touch of bitterness. The alcohol is very well hidden.
A well done Belgian Tripel true to the style. Elegant and delicate with a lightness that makes it very easy to drink.

S: Moderate aromas of Belgian yeast and candi sugar are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of Belgian yeast along with a bit of candi sugar.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this beer to be rather yeasty for a tripel.
