Notes of cocoa and a touch of roast combine with lively carbonation and a hint of sweetness to make the most refreshing black lager you never knew you needed.

Dark brown, almost black, with light, quickly-dissipating tan head.
Smell is mostly cola , with a slight wet cocoa aroma. From the open can I get some roasted pecan, wet earth, and decaying burnt wood.
Taste is cola, a hint of cocoa, toasted nuts, and a light woody flavor. Light lingering bitterness.
Feel is light, slightly slick, with moderate, very fine carbonation tingle.
Overall, pretty good. I'd have it again. :)

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high tan head that quickly settled down, leaving lots of small specks of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of dark malts are present in the nose along with notes of cola. As the beer begins to warm up, hints of roasted malts start to become perceptible.
T: The taste follows the smell and is mostly dominated by flavors of dark malts and also has some hints of cola.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied, clean and smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has some notes to hints of cola in the smell and taste and seems a little like a hybrid between a schwarzbier and a porter.
Serving type: can
