Canned 7/2/20 "Jazz Smells Weird"
(Drank it 8/6 . Notes from then, when my computer was out of commission. ;) )
Opaque yellow, with moderate white head. 1/4" ring, with a few spots of lacing.
Smell is tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, a vague mix of other tropical fruits, pine solvent (alcohol?), and a slight creamy aroma(lactose?). Some coconut as the head dissipated, and it warmed a bit. (Sabro hops?)
Taste is raw coconut, pineapple, bitter orange, dried lemon rind, (charentais) melon rind, with moderate bitterness. Less sweet than the aroma.
Feel is medium, similar to slightly diluted orange juice, with moderate carbonation bite, that gives a pleasant burn towards finish.
Overall, like it, but don't love it. On the more bitter side of the NEIPA spectrum, as a like it, but no sweet element that needs that bitterness for balance. Seems as though something is missing. That said , I'd still recommend giving it a try, including myself on a different day. It's of the sort that I MIGHT have a higher opinion of it on another occasion.

Look: Murky orange with fluffy foam head.
Smell: Not a lot of aroma but some lemon and citrus rinds.
Taste: Pretty good bitterness. Not a lot of fruit flavors but good hop bitterness and botanicals.
Feel: Normal for an IPA.
Overall: I'm quite pleased with the bitterness. A good beer.
