This 8.5% hazy Double IPA was dry-hopped with Galaxy and Motueka for tropical notes of pineapple, passionfruit, orange, lime and peach and a creamy mouthfeel. Galaxy is an Australian hop that packs a big tropical fruit punch, in part because it has the highest percentage of essential oils of any hop. It’s also in high demand with limited quantities, making it a difficult hop to get our hands on sometimes. So we were thrilled when these hops came our way and opted to pair them Motueka, a New Zealand hop known for its fresh-squeezed lime character. Hey 2020, we’re here but time’s slipping, slipping, slipping into the future.

A: The beer is very hazy and murky yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly died down, leaving a minuscule ring of bubbles around the collar.
S: Moderate aromas of herbal hops are present in the nose along with underlying hints of grapefruit and orange citrus.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of basil and rosemary herb along with notes of grapefruit hops. The herbs also contribute a slight amount of spiciness to the taste.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA really shines through with the herbal aromas and flavors of Motueka hops in the smell and taste.
