I purchased this beer from Half Time Beverage, one of their stout variety boxes. Essentially it’s a grab bag of 10 beers. I was a little nervous about not knowing what I was buying but this the fourth that I’ve tried & all were great so far. It looks like I’m the first review, so here goes.
Virtually black body with a thick litght brown head. Very pretty aroma: vanilla, caramel, roasted malt & Rumchata. Sweet but less than was expected. Excellent flavor: cinnamon, vanilla, caramel, molasses, cream, coffee, roasted malt & just a hint of alcohol. The 13% is very well hidden. This may be the thickest beer I’ve ever tried. It coats the tongue & despite shielding it from alcohol & carbonation is still very enjoyable. I wouldn’t say that this reminiscent of any Tres Leches cake I’ve made but it is delicious. An excellent Imperial Stout.
