Nordic Pilsner
We fermented this crisp Pilsner-style beer with a unique, clean fermenting kveik yeast. Haelstrom was brewed with traditional Pilsner malt and lightly hopped with noble Saaz, Hallertau and Tettnanger hops for a classic German Pilsner-style beer. PrĂ³st!

On draught at Fifth Hammer, Queens, NY. Uses a crisp and clean fermenting Nordic Kviek yeast.
Pours a semi clear golden to light amber color. A fingernail length head dissipates quickly, and yields thin rings of lacing.
The nose opens with clean bready malt notes that evokes a touch of sweetness, including honey and subtle fruity notes. Light aromas of sulfur quickly dissipate as more notes of biscuit, citrus and grass further in.
A firm malt base lays out the solid foundations, moderately sweet, bready doughy and biscuity. Well balanced by crisp and clean yeast spices and noble hops flavors. Earthy and spicy with an easy going bitterness, notes of honey, grass, lemon and orange. It finishes crisp with a dry and lightly resiny bitterness.
Light to medium bodied, feels full for for the. Mouthfeel Is crisp and is moderately to well carbonated.
Nice lager, well balanced and tasty. It has a kick to it, kind of like a bock. I would have again.
