Even in the underworld, it's important to maintain a positive outlook. Infernal Optimism is a smooth robust porter with flavors of cocoa, caramel, light roast and mild smoke. Brewed with six different malts (including malt smoked over cherry wood), and hopped with Centennial and Chinook hops, Infernal Optimism is rich and grounding, and surprisingly delicate. The smoke character is present and pleasant and does not overpower; its interplay enriches the whole. The finish is crisp with a memory of smoke and sweet malt -- a wondrous voyage throughout the glass.
