From the 16 oz. can dated 05/08/2018. Sampled on July 3, 2018 in 95 degree heat and humidity.
It pours a slightly hazy yellow color under a modest and lingering white foamy head. Good streaming carbonation.
Not a bad aroma with a citrus zest and grainy white bread. But also a slight cellar-mustiness maybe because it is almost two months old.
Light to medium mouthfeel.
Less of a citrus bite in the flavor than the nose portrays and more to the cellar. Also a mildly sweet, white bread character leading to a semi-clean finish. It worked for a hot day like today.

16 oz. Can
A totally clear but solid golden color, lively with a full-blown all white foam hat, clumpy and rocky to start, very slow dissipation with plenty of foam cover at all times. Excellent lace left overs at all times as well.
A classic, buttery lager malt hits the nose first, honey sweet, doughy bread scented malt with a some minty and herbacious smelling hops underneath. Green veggies and dry summertime leaves, mild citrus notes also come from the slightly more hop scentric, aromatic qualities of this pilz.
A very light and crisp mouthfeel, very clean, never dry or cloying, finishing light and slightly watery.
A snappy herbalizef malt flavor hits the palate first, crisp golden wheat, corn, green veggies and spice come off the malty flavor, pretty classic for the style. The bready, herbal malt taste is actually pretty complex. Not quite as crispy and light as some world class pilsner can be, this one comes over as a bit more straight lager like in flavor and feel. The hops, for something that is supposed to be a "hoppy pilz" are actually pretty subtle. With old world hop flavor's of spice rack combo, mint leaves, dry earthy tones and a very slight citrus thing. Not nearly as hoppy as I had expected. The balance, in a classic way, is very good as the malt complexity and hops meld together perfectly.
Overall, the taste seems to be a bit subtle with some very nice old-world aspects but I could've usee a bigger hop kick to off set this classic malty charecter from this pilz. Enjoyable for sure, but not exactly extraordinary.
