Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Kappy's in Norwell for about fourteen dollars. Never heard of or seen this brew before. Despite the mixed reviews, like to try local brews. Huge miss for me, way too carbonated, bland taste.

16oz undated can.

Pours cloudy yellow with a fluffy head of white. Nice retention and sheets of lacing. Peaches, lemon, and vanilla in the nose. On the light side of medium bodied with a creamy, soft mouthfeel. Peaches and grapefruit on the palate with zero malt and a minimal bitterness. Finishes dry with lingering citrus.

Nice beer. The hopping is unique but the body is a bit watery.

Pint can.

A lively look, with a bright yellow golden color. Hazy but jazzy with some very airy, clumpy and tall foam topping. Very sticky lace.

A seriously herbal and earthy nose, sweet but zippy fruits vrom the hops. Bright malti tones, wild honey and potato bread. A slightly sour and sweet hop thing at the end.

First off, this really seems much more like a traditional APA. Ipa might be a stretch concidering the pleasant, but low level of hop attack or complexity. With a name like Rekkr, I was expecting something intense, but it's actually very relaxed. The malt flavor and texture is very snappy, big carbonation that hits you really light but dry. Mostly earthy, sour style hops, peppery, slightly citric with nearly zero bitterness.

Although an enjoyable brew, not bad for lazing poolside or hiking ...but just not complex or interesting for another round. The flavors seem to be sepetate and not mingle well eachother. Missing cohesiveness, but having a high drinkabikity factor due to its easy approach.

I've enjoyed a variety of IPAs from Mason's and all have been definitely been of high quality and very tasty. I don't question the quality of this IPA but nonetheless am not enthusiastic about the taste probably resulting from the use of, among other things, topaz and citra hops. Seems to end up as sort of a forgettable session ipa that is not what I was expecting when opening the can.

Poured into a 13 oz Teku canned on 6/5/18. Pours a very attractive slightly hazy orange with a massive 2 finger sticky white head that leaves plenty of thick rings of lace behind.

Smell is passion fruit, herbal earthy hops, mandarin orange, and a little hint of grapefruit rind.

Taste follows very tropical and incredibly balanced throughout.

Mouthfeel is almost medium, plenty of life, not dry, and very crushable but drinks bigger than 5.5%.

Overall this is a very nice beer, I wish it was a tad less expensive at $13.99 a 4 of pounders, but excellent sessionable IPA.

Beer is a very hazy gold/amber. Ivory head with good lacing. Not much of a nose. Some faint bisquit and surprisingly, almost no hops. As it warms up a little I'm getting a bit of a grassy aroma. Taste is some light malt up front with a refreshing lemon/grapefruit finish. Mouthfeel is fine. It's nicely carbonated and very drinkable. Overall, this is a surprisingly light IPA. The hop profile is not at all aggressive. It's 5.5 abv, but feels like a session IPA. It's easily drinkable and definitely tasty, but isn't particularly interesting or noteworthy to me.
