Simple, sublime and sessionable, the IPA by Mill Creek is one of those beers that you can't have just one. Its highly drinkable, refreshing and crisp character promises tropical and citrus but with a body that's lighter than even pale ale.
Woodshed pours a slightly hazy straw color and crowns with an arid eggshell froth. Moderately perfumy, the nose is spicy with those tropical, citrus and grassy scents. Scant sweetness comes with the initial taste and in the form of lightly toasted grain, bread crust and caramel.
Its lightly savory, lightly toasty sweetness is short lived as the lighter ale easily contends with any malt interruption, certainly favoring the hops throughout. White grapefruit and the tang of under ripened oranges frame the citrusy story while a mild charge of passionfruit and pineapple both seem of the dried and spicy variety. Bitter to close, the dry ale hits the throat with a firm punch of dry hay and fresh grasses.
Light in body, the highly carbonated beer carries a light carbonic bite and a flat stretch on the finish. Seeming of hoppy selzer water for a brief moment, but to the beer's testament, Its dryness, lightness and refreshment are its selling points, and selling it well, it does.

Had to be careful poring to avoid the yeast, It pored a nice deep yellow with half inch of head. Mild hop nose. Flavor was yeasty but had a good balance with malt and hops. Fairly brisk finish.. Light bodied; not sure if it was an IPA but this was very refreshing and after I got over the yeast it was quite enjoyable little brew. I could see having another six pack of this during the summer.

Poured into an IPA glass. Moderately hazy golden straw color. Two-finger white foamy head that lingered and left nice tracks. Very fruity nose: big aromas of grapefruit, mango, pineapple, and peach, with just a faint bready smell. It tasted just like the nose suggested; lots of citrus fruit and great Galaxy hop notes. Moderately bitter. Understated malt presence but the feel was nice and not too thin. Nice dry clean finish. To me, this felt and tasted like the ABV was higher than 4.5%. Very nice!
