Dark brown with an amber highlight. Pleasantly spritzy on the tongue. Warm and malty. If there's a "toffee" aroma, this is it. Malted milk and a little grain in the nose. Tastes stronger than it is. Quite mouthfilling and malty.
This tastes rather sweet, with cocoa and honey flavors. There is more caramel than roasted grain flavor. Modest hopping. Just a scratch of bitterness in the aftertaste. From the 32 oz growler purchased at the brewery in the woods near Lake Stevens.
