A: Pours with a light haze that clears up after a minute. A two finger white head forms with good retention and plenty of lace.
S: Yeast and phenolic spice with the hoppy character coming in next. Floral, grassy, grapefruit bitterness. Very nice.
T: Like the nose, a touch of yeast, phenolic spice, light pepper, and then the hops. Floral, grassy, bitter grapefruit...that lingers a bit. A touch soapy and oily as well.
M/O: A medium body that is crisp and effervescent. Finishes dry, and again a touch soapy/oily but not to bad there. Not hard to drink, and the newest version is pushing 8% ABV, so that is significantly higher than it was. Still, moreish overall which is always a good thing.
A very good attempt here. I don't think I enjoy it as much as the Saison, which is similar, but I think has much more character and more well rounded overall. Lately this has been a style I find rather gimmicky, but they made a very good example. Which I have come to expect, Just not one of my favorites from the brewery.

Poured from tap into tulip, good 2 finger off white creamy head, good retention and lacing. Clear golden in the glass. Smells of Belgian yest, juicy fruit, and some slight citrus. Taste is sweet malt, Candi sugar, citrus and slight fruitiness from the yeast. Finishes with a spicy, slight bitterness that makes this so easy to drink. Hides ABV well.
