32 oz. half-growler filled at Premium Draught, Houston, TX
(filled and consumed on June 17, 2018)
L: gold-amber topped by almost 2-inch tall head of offwhite foam that sticks
S: sweet grapefruit, plenty of biscuit malt
T: follows the nose almost 1-to-1 with enough malt sweetness to turn the grapefruit into pineapple at times
F: full ale, a bit slick, almost thick yet with enough carbonation to help ease it down
O: great beer all-around, nothing out of bounds with plenty of flavor from both malt and hops in a classic American IPA way

A: Initially pours with a bit of chilled hazed, but that clears up in a minute. After this clears up, a bright straw.yellow color. A dense two finger white head forms with good retention. Plenty of lace is left behind as well.
S: Citrus, berry, tropical fruits up front. The topical fruit, specifically mango is a nice surprise. Then transitions to more pine and light bitterness. Very nice overall.
T: Citrus and tropical fruits up front and center. I am still surprised at how much mango I get from this up front. Though that fades to a more traditional pine/grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Not much of a malt character, but the hops are nuanced and really well incorporated. This is great.
M/O: A medium body with effervescent carbonation. Crisp, super clean, and dry. Really easy to drink. I want to keep coming back to this.
Certainly a very aggressive hop character with little malt, but that is not needed for balance. The hop character is really well done with plenty of fruity notes, plenty of bitter notes, and all is happy. Very bright and clean, and all around well done, like usual for this brewery.

Poured from tap into shaker, nice cream colored head good retention and lacing. Hazy bright golden in the glass. Smells tropical, some citrus thrown in. Taste is initially a lot, getting mango, pineapple and some sweet malt. Middle is more citrus, orange and flat out juicy. Has a very mild bitter finish. This beer has changed since my first tasting, the mouthfeel is incredible.
