A: Pours a near opaque black color A one finger tan head form with good lace left down the glass.
S: Roasted malts with coffee and chocolate. More milk chocolate with some sweetness. Simple but very enjoyable.
T: Like the nose roasted malts, coffee, chocolate. There is more of a biscuit/bready flavor than was in the nose. Some residual sweetness with a light lingering bitter chocolate finish.
M/O: A full body with moderate carbonation. Ultra smooth, creamy, even velvety. Really easy to drink. The high ABV is not noticeable, and something I can come back to with ease.
This is a good imperial stout with a bit of malty nuance. Not as overbearing as some can be, especially Brash. Not that that is bad, but almost refreshing in a way that basically the same beer is made without an ABV above 10%. Well made and something I will come back to.
