Poured from tap into shaker, 1 finger light tan head, recedes to a pool, nice lacing. Crystal clear Ruby brown in the glass. Getting caramel, and Belgian yeast fruitiness on the nose. Taste is caramel sweetness, fruity esters, not quit banana, raisins, somewhat sharp finish with a little residual sweetness. Creamy mouthfeel.

A: Pours a dark brown color. A two finger beige head forms with good retention and lace.
S: Toasted and caramel malts, raisins and a lingering wood aroma. A very nice malty character, if a bit simple.
T: Again, toasted malts with some caramel sweetness. Raisin and a strong woody flavor, even though no barrels in site for this. The wood character lingers which gives a little rough dryness in the finish.
M/O: A medium to full body. Good carbonation, but again that wood character gives this a dry, rough scratchy feel. Which makes this something I am probably not grabbing a lot over the other options usually available at the brewery.
A nice malt character, but doesn't seem to get that great depth that can be had with a lot of traditional Belgian examples. The woody character seems to detract for me a little to much as well. A good attempt, but doesn't hit the mark like some other offerings from Holler. Still, got to love the variety and still pretty good quality they keep putting out.
