Poured from tap into shaker, 1 finger light tan head, good retention and lacing. Clear Amber in the glass. Smells of bread, and pine. Taste caramel, pine and citrus, has a spicy dry finish. Reminds me of what celebration would taste like if it was a rye beer.

A: Pours a dark red, that is nearly opaque. A two finger beige head forms with good retention and plenty of lace left behind.
S: Big baked bread aroma up front and center. Certainly rye, like walking into a bakery along with toasted malts. Citrus, pine, and resin like hops in the finish. Really well balanced an enjoyable.
T: Like the nose, the baked bread and toasted malt character is great up front. I love the rye character here. Then, again, that citrus, pine and resin flavor lingers. Along with an assertive hoppy bitterness and a bit of a woody flavor.
M/O: A medium to full body. Good carbonation, that is more moderate than on the high side. More of a smoother, rounder finish that is very dry. Really enjoyable to drink. I have come back to this plenty of times since it has been released.
I think this is a really good example of a Rye Pale Ale, and reminds me of Founders Red Rye or Two Brothers Cane and Abel. Have had both on cask and regular CO2. Just a well made hoppy rye pale ale. Not surprising at all from this brewery.
