This is an "imperial" Wit, and believe this is only a one time release.
A: Pours with a light haze/cloudiness. Pale golden color with a one finger white head that forms. The foam recedes in a second with light lace.
S: Orange peal, lemon zest and fusel alcohol. Some grainy like malts, but that alcohol is certainly potent in the nose.
T: Like the nose, the typical Wit flavors of orange peal, spice, lemon. Some malt and grains. Though the alcohol gets in the way. Which is lingering and a bit fusel like.
M/O: A medium body with moderate carbonation. Kind of crisp, not all that smooth, and the alcohol gets in the way again. Which even gives the allusion of being lighter in body than it really is. Yep, again I can't get past that alcohol and this becomes more of a chore to drink than I would like.
Of the few imperial wits that I have had, they all fall under the same problem. The alcohol can't seem to get out of the way. This is suppose to be a style I can down one pint after another. When I have to linger to finish this, that kind of defeats the point, and is not a good sign. A rare miss from the brewery IMO.
