A: Pours an impressive opaque black color. A dense two finger tan head forms and recedes in a minute. Rings of lace are left behind.
S: Big barrel aromas up front. Vanilla and oak specifically. Then some milk sweetness, roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. A really nice and warming aroma
T: The barrel isn't as up front as in the nose. Milk sweetness is up front with chocolate and roast. Dried bakers chocolate, then as this warms more of a barrel/oak, vanilla flavor takes over. A very nice BBA imperial milk stout.
M/O: A full body and moderate carbonation. This is silky smooth. No heat what soever, and just really enjoyable to drink.
I wasn't able to get the exact ABV, but considering the regular Looyah Tooyah is close to 9, this is pretty big. As is. really enjoyable to drink and a well made first attempt at a barrel aged stout. Get this is you see it at the brewery.
