A: Pours a near opaque black color. A two finger dark beige head forms with good retention and lace.
S: Raspberry puree that is slightly tart. Light chocolate and roasted malt. The raspberry seems to take over and is a touch medicinal.
T: Yep, the raspberry takes over here. Medicinal, with some chocolate and roast. Though the fruit takes over, but I find it too medicinal.
M/O: A medium to full body. Good carbonation, but a bit slick from the fruit additions. Really not hard to drink, but not really something I am looking to come back to all that often.
OK for what it is, but not among my favorites for the brewery. Seems a bit more medicinal than I would like, but that is almost a given when making a raspberry stout IMO. So, maybe a bit of a no win situation. Still, regular Looyah is much better than this.
