Deep cocoa and tropical aromas owing to midnight wheat malt and Nelson Sauvin dry hops. Flavor is balanced between a rich maltiness and a crisp bitterness. Finish is dry and clean.

A: Pours a little muddy brown color. A silky smooth white head forms with good retention and lace left behind.
S: Lots of aromatic hops up front. Lightly tropical, but more pine and resin. I don't get much malty character.
T: Like the nose, this is all hops. Lightly tropical, pine, resin, lightly oily. Bitterness lingers. Again, not a lot of malt character. That all gets drowned out. Very much in the Dogfish Head Indian Brown vain.
M/O: A medium to full body. Good carbonation, but smooth at the same time. Really not hard to drink, though the big hoppy character and the alcohol makes this only a once in a while offering.
Not bad, and very much similar to Indian Brown and even Odell's Settle Down Brown. The hoppy character just kind of takes over, when I want the malts to shine. This is exactly what Holler wanted to make, and is well made in that regard. Just my opinion, but want anything that says Brown Ale to be malty, and this is essentially a brown IPA.
