A: Pours with a chilled haze that clears up as this warms. A golden/yellow color with a two finger white head that rises, and has good retention. Plenty of lace is left behind.
S: Stone fruits (pear) and tropical fruits (papaya) up front. Certainly hop forward, but more subtle and well balanced.
T: Like the nose, plenty of fruity hop flavors like pear and and tropical fruits. A peppery spice, with the requisite bitterness that lingers on a bit. Really well balanced and very enjoyable.
M/O: A medium body that has crisp carbonation. Effervescent, clean, and smooth at the same time, and finishes dry. Again, this is something I have really enjoyed drinking since this has been released.
A simple, but down right enjoyable IPA. Not fussy at all, something that draws me in to want to drink pint after pint. While most breweries are releasing more and more hazy/muddled nonsense and calling them "IPA", and Holler has done a few of those as well (luckily that hasn't stopped them from making plenty of new offerings in a variety of styles). Imagine a new IPA that is refreshing, clean, and balanced. Glad that beers like this have not gone completely out of vogue yet.
