This is Euro-Treasure aged in wine barrels with Brett.
A: Pours a clear reddish/orange color. A two finger white head forms. Good retention and plenty of lace left behind.
S: Up front is a fruity aroma. Peach, apple skins, grapes. Fairly vinous, with white pepper and a good amount of oak/wood aromas. A touch of "funkiness." Really well done.
T: Follows the nose, and this is awesome. That fruity, apple skin and vinous grape flavor is their in spades. White pepper, light funk, with an acidic bite that is never overbearing. With oak/wood flavors, a bit of vanilla and sweetness in the background.
M/O: A great medium body with crisp effervescent carbonation. After some sweetness from the barrels, this finishes perfectly dry. Really easy to drink. I will be coming back to this a lot when available.
This is excellent. The barrel and base meld really well, which is an excellent example of the style to begin with. Maybe Saint Arnold is the only other brewery in Texas to do a wine barrel aged beer with this much bright and crisp carbonation as well. Something other breweries just make a muddled mess of. Love it, and hope to see this much more often.
