As the name suggests, this is their barrel aged anniversary beer. An 11% milk stout aged in bourbon barrels.
A: Pours a near opaque black color. A two finger tan head forms with good retention and lace.
S: Big barrel aromas up front. With wood, vanilla, milk chocolate, light roast and coffee. Everything is in really good balance. Excellent.
T: Again, big barrel flavors. Wood, vanilla, chocolate. A bit of tannin character as well. Roast, coffee, and some sweetness. Everything is in good balance.
M/O: A full body with moderate carbonation. Ultra smooth at the same time. Really easy to drink for the weight, and just an all around enjoyable example of a barrel aged imperial stout.
As usual, this is quality. A big beer, with great barrel and stout character. Everything is very well balanced. Get now, and hopefully they make this again.
