A: Pours kind of a muddy brown color. A one finger beige head forms and recedes after a minute. Light lace is left behind.
S: Oh man, this is very aromatic. Baked dark breads that are great. Toasted malts, toffee, vanilla. Then the wood aromas. Barrel and oak are great.
T: Like the nose, I love that fresh baked bread flavor. Toasted malts, chocolate, toffee, vanilla. Oak and barrel aromas in spades. There is a bit of solvent like alcohol but works well, and becomes warming instead of a detriment. Very nice.
M/O: A full body with good carbonation. Velvety smooth at the same time. Some warming alcohol makes this a slow but enjoyable sipper.
Yep, this is a good one. Holler released this for Black Friday and its still around a few weeks later, and something I would definitely recommend. I'll be getting more while its still available. I would be interested to try the base beer by itself as well.
