A: Pours a pale orange color. A one finger white head forms, and recedes after a minute. Plenty of lace is left behind.
S: Aroma is of baked bread and toasted malts. A little fruity and with a peppery/clove like spice.
T: Again, rich malt and baked bread flavors, along with some candied sugar like sweetness. A light phenolic like spice and clove flavor, along with apple skin and a touch of fruity esters.
M/O: A medium body and carbonation. That smooths out as this breaths. Easy and enjoyable to drink. Fairly simple, but hits the style points well enough.
This is a good Belgian Pale Ale. It has a bit more darker/sweeter malts (relatively) than Holler usually has for their Belgian styles, which is not a bad thing at all, just something I noticed. It succeeds with the style points, and is enjoyable for sure. I'll definitely get this again, but they have done better Belgian styles in the past. I guess that says something cause this would be pretty on point for a lot of other breweries around town, but for Holler its more average IMO.
