Poured from can into tulip, good monster 3 finger off-white head, great retention and lacing. Hazy golden in the glass. Smells of sweet candied pineapple, pine and citrus. Taste is sweet malt in the front, pine, pineapple, grapefruit thru the middle and a good firm bitterness on the end. I personally think the bitterness could have been a little harder on the finish, as this is a pretty sweet beer, not cloying, but at 10% it is up there. Regardless still drinks well, but this will probably put me out shortly after finishing it :)

A: Pours a hazy orange color. With a two finger white head that forms. Good retention and lace left behind.
S: Big hops up front, as would be expected. Citrus, pine, grapefruit and resin. There is a big malty sweetness detectable in the nose as well. Well balanced with the big hops and big malts.
T: Like the nose, that citrus, pine and grapefruit all up front. This is resin like and really sweet. The sweetness actually becomes a bit cloying, and detracts for me a bit. Though a bitterness is also lingering.
M/O: A full body with moderate carbonation. A sticky, resin like feel that is almost oily. This is a sipper, but for the most part an enjoyable one.
Both big hops and malt, as would be expected. I think the sweetness and sticky resiny like quality takes over a bit too much for me, and that is a personal preference. Its still a good attempt at the style, if not my favorite, and Holler has done better Imperial IPA"s in the past. Still nothing wrong with this one either.
