Pours deep black with a tan, creamy head that disappears. Aroma of roasted malt, cocoa, raisins, and whiskey. Taste follows nose with a bit of coffee, bittersweet chocolate, and subtle caramel. Mouthfeel is rich and smooth, with a lingering roasted finish.

This is a bourbon barrel aged stout.
A: Pours an opaque black color. A small tan head rises and recedes in a second. The opaqueness is pretty impressive.
S: Milk chocolate up front, and some light woody aromas. That is it. Fairly simple, and one noted. Though not unpleasant.
T: That milk chocolate up front again. This almost seems like it is a milk stout/lactose in there a bit. A bit of sourness, not in an infection kind of way, but an odd tannin way, and light woody flavors. It becomes too sweet though, after a while.
M/O: A full body and moderate carbonation. Viscous, but not over the top in that department. OK to drink, but I'm not really looking to come back to this anytime soon.
Very sweet, and milk chocolate like. The bare minimum of barrel characteristics, outside of some tannin like qualities. Which makes me think this has been aged for a very short period of time. Not that that is bad, but this becomes very one noted and sickly sweet after a while. Some more robust barrel character could have helped with that. Just OK.
