Atwood calls this a "WInter Ale" and it tastes like it's spiced up with something. A big foam-up on pouring, but it settles down eventually to a sudsy and cloudy glassful. Fruity nose. Hints of butterscotch, wintergreen, and definitely spice cake.
I think of date sugar. The dry finish is quite welcome after all the sweetness. This is yet another interesting Atwood brew with a yeasty character. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station. Cap is labeled with the bottling date in Oct 2017.
