Pours a dark and rather brown-tinted amber color, with a modest foam in the Maredsous goblet. Plenty of spritz in the mouthfeel with a malty substance. Dark and woodsy flavors with a buttery hint. Leafy, herbal, stewed grain.
This must be a new style, the "Farmhouse" Pale Ale. It's brewed with
cascade hops grown at the farm and what is getting to be a mantra, 100% Skagit Valley Malts. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.
