16oz can (no date) poured into 16oz tulip. Poured a very cloudy and hazy dark orange color with almost an inch-and-a-half of just off-white head that had very good retention and very light lacing.
The aroma lead off with big hit of funky, Belgiany yeasts (the brewery uses the local bugs from Blaine to brew with), almost Brett-like. Under that was solid, earthy grains, and some floral and fruity hops.
Similar on the tongue, with the fruit aspects being a bit bolder, and the grains a touch softer. Just a touch of hop bitterness on the very finish.
The body was medium-light, smooth, and had a semi-sweet finish that quickly dried out greatly, and ending bone dry.
Drinkability was good, I would happily knock back a few more these.
Overall, an interesting take on the style. Worth grabbing if you see it.
