Clear amber-orange color without much foam. Aroma of resins and pineapple with a lemony nose. Thickish mouthfeel. Tangy and quite sharp. Malty with some sweetness. Huge flavor of orange peel and more citrus. Quite drinkable and full of flavor. From the 16 oz can purchased at Garden Path at Skagit airport. For a place that's planning to close, they keep churning out different brews.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a slightly darker than medium golden amber with a quarter finger white head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of bready and lightly caramel malt, citron, light grassy hops; malty. Flavor is mildly grainy pale malt, grassy and piney hops, hay, pine needles and grapefruit; hints of farmhouse yeast in the late taste to finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. An interesting and non-traditional IPA. I'm getting light suggestions of the yeast Atwood uses in it's more rustic styles, although it is not an obvious farmhouse ale. Quite malty, and almost what I'd expect from a brewery testing the waters for an IPA after concentrating on other styles. There are hints of English bitters, farmhouse as well as more local Northwest hops. I missed the first iteration of this series, but am intrigued by this one and hope to participate the later stages. It could be a healing experience. An off the beaten path brewery with some interesting brews to try.
