The HABC brew team ventured to create an easy drinking Porter with sizable chocolate and raspberry additions to get us through this last stretch of winter. With nearly 100 pounds of raspberry purée and 15 pounds of organic African cacao nibs in this 300 gallon batch of beer, we believe we’ve created a beautifully balanced beer. As always, the base malt for this brew comes from our friends at Proximity Malt in Monte Vista, Colorado. We added some of our favorite specialty malts such as Maris Otter, Special B, chocolate malt, and a touch of roasted barley from Germany for balance.

Dull coffee brown with a thin but creamy tan blanket that leaves all kinds of craggy coral lacing on the glass.
Classic old world porter qualities of dusty, smoky roast and tobacco meet a subtle tang of raspberry in a slick, finely carbonated body that finishes a bit wet.
Despite the low ABV it almost seems like it has some higher potency in feel.
