Clear very dark reddish brown with plenty of foam in the snifter. Aromatic with roasted grain and coffee. Plentiful spritz on the tongue and a substantial body. This is rather sweet and quite malty, like a junior Imperial stout. Bitter aftertaste to provide some balance, however. A taste of raisins and bitter chocolate. This is a really flavorful and satisfying dark beer, not overly strong, but robust. From the 32 oz crowler can purchased at the brewery in Orange.
