Poured from 16oz can into my BeerAdvocate teku. The can calls this a "Red IPA", with comet, crystal and mosaic hops, and "dry hopped with a lot more mosaic!"
Appearance: a rich amber hue with a little bit of haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop. I really like the color on this.
Smell: a biscuity malt aroma with a fair dose of caramel. Hops are a bit citrusy and a bit green. I like the hop component, even if the biscuity malt is not my favorite flavor profile.
Taste: sweet malt base with plenty of toffee, caramel and biscuit. Hops have a nice fruity, citrusy and rather vernal character to them; I really like that part. I won't downgrade this beer for not having my favorite malt character; I think it's well-made and well-executed, if not a formula I love.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I think this beer has a lot to commend it; I personally wouldn't drink a ton of it, but I would absolutely recommend it to those who like the more biscuity, red-ale malt profile in an IPA.
