Doing this from notes
A: Pours dark brown color with a pale beige head. Retention isn't super good and lacing either.
S: It smells just like the original but stronger. Strong notes of hazelnuts, vanilla, leather and light metallic tinge. A bit faint though.
T: Just like the smell. Pretty straightforward, but perfectly in-line with the style. You get a ton of nuts, vanilla and leather. Slight smoke too. Slight brown sugar but this isn't a really sweet beer.
M: Lighter than expected, but it works really well here with this beer. No stickiness at all.
O: This falls perfectly in line with what a brown ale is. Combined this with the low residual sugars and great mouthfeel, you get a really easy drinking beer that is well worth trying out.
