This is a Raspberry sour, on tap at the brewery.
A: Pours a hazed pink color. A two finger white head forms with good retention. Light lace is left behind.
S: A medicinal syrupy aroma, that reminds me of cough syrup. Some fruity raspberry tartness in the nose as well. Though not much else.
T: More acidic than the nose, but again that medicinal cough syrupy character takes over. Tartness lingers, as well as a bit of sulfur.
M/O: A light body that is crips and effervescent. Fairly refreshing for what it is. To much of a medicinal character for me to come back to this often.
Raspberry's are hard to make a sour out of. I almost always get that medicinal cough syrup character, and this is not different. A good try, and enjoyable enough for a light fruit beer. I am just not digging this one though.
