A: Pours a dark black, with some ruby brown around the edges. A one finger beige head forms with some retention and lace.
S: Roast up front, but not overpowering. Some coffee, light chocolate, a touch buttery in the finish as well.
T: Roast, coffee that is a little bitter, light chocolate, and butter.
M/O: A medium to full body. Good carbonation, relatively smooth. OK to drink. Something I could come back to, but fairly by the books with a touch of diacetyle.

I do get some buttery diacetyle notes here. Though the roasted malts do a good job of covering it up enough so it is not over done. Other than that, buy the books and enjoyable for what it is.

Pours out to a thick, permanent tan head that lasts all the way down and laces. Excellent head retention. Nearly opaque mahogany color. Aroma is mocha, roasted barley and a hint of hops. Flavor is clean, fresh malts and baker's chocolate with a touch of hop bite. Mouthfeel is thick and delicious. Great stuff!

Pours an effervescent black with 2+ fingers of khaki head. Above average head retention & better lacing

S: Roasty, woody, some cocoa

T: Roasty, dry, carob & slight smokeyness up front. Roasty & dry with woody hops as this warms. Finishes roasty, dry with a little Baker's chocolate

MF: Medium body, moderate carbonation

Pretty good, but not one I would seek out
