A: Pours black with a bit of ruby/brown around the edges. A small tan head forms and recedes quickly. Light lace is left behind.
S: Ethanol alcohol is pungent and strong up front in the nose. Coffee grounds and green peppers. Not enjoying this one.
T: Like the nose, ethanol alcohol is strong and covers most everything else. Except for coffee grounds and green peppers. This was not in the barrel long cause I don't get a lot of wood flavors, and the alcohol is over powering.
M/O: A really thin body for such a high ABV. There is some alcohol slickness. Harsh alcohol at that. It takes some time to get use to this, and then I just want to leave it alone.
I don't think this is well made. The ethanol and alcohol flavor takes over so much I forget I am trying to drink a barrel aged stout. The barrel and stout character really struggle to get through.
