On tap at Brood & Barely, which is Flyway Brewing's Gastropub.
A: Pours a hazy orange color. A small white head forms and recedes to nothing after a minute. Not much lace left behind.
S: Banana, clove, and peppery spice. The spicy character kind of takes over after a while, but all the staple Hefe aromas are there.
T: Banana and lemon like fruits up front. Clove and peppery spice. The spice builds and becomes a little to much. Along with a soapy and oily character that I'm not the biggest fan of, though it doesn't get too much in the way.
M/O: A medium body and moderate carbonation. There is a soapy and oily consistency and feel that takes away a little bit. Not hard to drink at all. I can have this again while at the gastropub/restaurant. Though not among my favorites of the style.
An OK, decent attempt of the style. I will have no problems having this again if I visit Brood & Barely again. It wouldn't stand out on its own otherwise however.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
