Who's from Munich and is feeling homesick? Well, the Bavarian Bierhaus may be a good way to cure homesickness. The property is rather interesting; there's a soccer club which plays across from the bierhaus, a separate beer village which operates during Oktoberfest and the summer time, and the main attraction being the bierhaus itself. Walk up the sloped driveway and enter on the second floor, open the door and find a small gift shop with clothing and glassware for sale, and a fork in the road leading to two separate bierhalls. Go to the left as that is the main one. Feels like a Münchner bierhall with a large and tall Teutonic themed room, long tables and benches with a stage for live music, and a long "[" shaped bar. Overhead are a few TV's, the year round beer which they make written on boards and hanging from the ceiling. Even half-full, there's a good atmosphere, but during busier times such as soccer matches, becomes a very fun place to be.
The beer goes with the theme of Bavaria in its year rounds, plus a handful of other styles not known to be Bavarian. A shorter menu with year round offerings of their Anvil Pils, Unkel Dunkel, Serendity Now Pale Ale, Hefeweizen, Schmutzig Helles, plus a handful of seasonal offerings such as their delicious Rest Imperial Stout, Bells and Chains Doppelbock, and even a 3% ABV Banananette hefeweizen in collaboration with Working Draft. Beer quality is often on point, and to add points is stereotypical Bavarian glassware; mugs! Get them served in three sizes; .3L, .5L, Liter (Rest Imperial Stout received a snifter instead of a mug, good for them). Prices are on the higher side with many half-liters now going for $8, but come during their generous Happy Hour throughout the week (even weekends!) for half-off.
Food is another bright spot, and might be better than the beer.I decided to order a healthy pork schnitzel entree topped "Wisconsin" with beer cheese and ham. Hearty and delicious. There's also Schweinshaxe which is highlighted in the menu. I really miss that from my trip to Munich, but that will have to wait.
Potentially an overlooked spot for a brewery visit because of the more limited beer options and is closed Monday and Tuesday. It ends as a happy visit whenever I come to the bierhall or in their little village during festivals.

New brewery in a freshly remodeled beer hall. Large dinning hall, walk up bar plus old world bar next to Oktoberfest grounds. Oktoberfest beer was solid. Much like the Hofbrauhaus in IL. will have eat lunch there sometime soon.
