L: Pours out murky reddish pink in color. The color reminds me of a muddled strawberry milk made with Nesquik powder. About a finger of a frothy white cap formed from a simple pour. The lacing left behind on the glass is abundant, which is bonus points for me.
S: Ok, this is where it gets weird. This literally smells like strawberries and cream. Strawberry was evident since I first cracked the tab. The lactose really compliments the strawberry in this instance, making it smell creamy and well, milkshakey. Don't smell much of the vanilla, at least it isn't evident.
T: Again, for what it is, it isn't bad. The strawberry/milk sugar complex is the first flavor to hit the palate. Where it gets interesting is the finish, which has a hoppy profile. The slighly bitter/hoppy finish offsets the strawberry and lactose, reassuring me that I am still drinking a beer and not an IN-N-Out milkshake. Strawberry flavor lingers in the aftertaste along with residual sweetness. Can't detect the 8 abv.
F: Pretty epic. Soft, full, creamy and spot-on for what they were trying to achieve. The carbonation is done perfectly, allowing the beer to feel lofty.
O: I am sitting here questioning my lifes purpose whilst I drink this. It has to be the most "milkshakey" beer I've yet to try. Though it isn't my preferred style, I can admit that I enjoyed it (and can also see why others would not). Anyways, I am glad to have tried and would probably drink again out of novelty. Cheers!
