Clear amber brew with sticky foam in the Duvel nonic. Aromatic with citrus and a long nose of lemon, lime, and mango. Green melon in the nose. Thickish mouthfeel with plenty of carbonation. Taste is strong and sweet. Flavors of melon, grapes, and a tang of grapefruit in the finish. Distinct but moderate bitter aftertaste. This is a most interesting hop powerhouse that definitely is cranked up to 11. From the 16 oz can dated 08/16/23.

really neat can of beer here, my second in the same session from barrel brothers, who demonstrates they can do both hoppy beer mighty ably. this is another west coast type but not overly cleared up, which i really like, and its got an amazing hop profile on it, and i think its incredible how they list all the ingredients right on the can in obvious print, no frills and no secrets, i wish more breweries would do that. i definitely get a cryo type up front hop intensity, white grapefruit, candied citrus peel, and ripe melon, super juicy and drippy and majorly fresh. some weed notes in the nose, more new school fruity in the taste, southern hemisphere vibes, like chardonnay and kiwi and lemongrass, but its also got distinctive northwestern character, so dynamic and good. its cool how early the hops start, how clean and balanced this all is, and how distinctive it can be with familiar ingredients, that might be the most impressive part of this. just enough malt support, smooth textured without all the starchy east coast rawness, and with a memorable hop profile and high attention to detail. safe to say these guys are on my radar! stoked on these two hoppy beers, hope to check out their brewery next time i am back out that way!

Review:Nice West Coast profile with a yellow golden appearance and a nice foamy white head. The aroma is good, definitely a combination of pine and pineapple/mango. The taste leans clean and bitter with a
subtle blend of barley and wheat malt. Finishes bittersweet inviting you to take another sip. Solid IPA for hot weather, or to cool down after eating some spicy food. Very good.

Stats: Malts - 2 row malt, white wheat. Hops - CTZ, Simcoe, Amarillo, Cascade

This is one of those Summer-heat IPA’s.
Easy on the nose. Feel is fine, not too brilliant on the palate. Dry in the middle and finishes off very easy.
Definitely a good introduction West Coast IPA for those wanting to avoid any overwhelming bitterness.
I’d get it again not only for the nod to M.A.A.D City but because it’s also enjoyable.
