On tap at the brewery in a tulip
A: Pitch black, thin head
S: Banana, peanut butter, cocoa, chocolate malt
T: Mostly matches the nose, just not as complex. The banana tastes a bit more brown than I prefer
M: Medium-bodies, smooth
O: A nice blend of flavors, overall works well

Having this on-tap at the brewery, this beer draws a very dark brown, almost black color that seems to have no interest in letting in any light whatsoever. Has a tan head that’s half an inch thick when first drawn that settles eventually to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass and bits of lacing. Aromas of roasted caramel malts and certainly hints of peanut butter and banana. Also a bit of chocolate and a bit of earthy hops. The taste follows suit, with a good roasted caramel malt backbone with peanut butter and banana that gives way to chocolate and is rounded out with some earthy, grainy hops. Has a somewhat crisp, yet smooth medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate to heavy carbonation. Has a nice clean finish along with a bit of a dry aftertaste. Easy to drink in the way good beer ought to be.
