The AVB of this beer is 5.4%. Having this on-tap at the brewery. Drawn into a Weizen glass, this beer draws a medium amber copper color with a white head that’s about an inch thick when first drawn that settles to a medium sized ring lining the inside of the glass. Not much lacing unfortunately. Aromas of bready, toasted caramel malts and certainly chili peppers. Has a nice bready, somewhat toasted caramel sweetness upfront that pretty quickly gives way to chili pepper heat. The heat isn’t very apparent at first, but it really starts to creep and build nicely after a few sips. This is perfect for a chili head like me. The level of spice heat is just perfect, not overbearing to the point that it overwhelms my tastebuds, but certainly enough to remind you it is there. Not really much if any discernible hop presence, but that’s okay. Has a crisp, yet smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish, and the pepper heat lingers nicely on the palate after each sip. And I like this. Very good!
